Tapestry Weaving Workshop

In conjunction with our Tapestry Weaving Exhibition entitled Slow Time With A Butterfly master weavers Mary Cuthbert and Áine Dunne have devised this special weaving workshop to introduce you to the ancient craft of tapestry weaving.  No experience is needed.  This workshop is aimed at anyone with an interest in the process of tapestry weaving from crafters to writers to art collectors.

In this workshop you will get hands on experience setting up a small tapestry frame loom. You will learn how to weave and finish the tapestry which can be brought home as a keepsake. There will be a range of materials to work with and you can explore the surface quality that can be achieved by mixing and blending these fibres. The workshop is free, but places are limited to 12 participants and booking is essential at 01 493 4208.
